In 2013, as part of my MA in Museums and Galleries in Education I created an audio trail for Crystal Palace Park. I wanted to provoke an interest in the wide range of stories stemming from the park and to make the park’s heritage more accessible to the local community. I created the trail with no budget!
I interviewed a variety of people including local cub scouts and an over 50s group. I spoke with and recorded local harpist Keziah Thomas playing a tune that was once performed at The Crystal Palace. This recording formed the basis of the trail soundtrack.
The idea is that the trail is location based and can be downloaded and listened to when walking around the park.
